Management

Cahill is a team of experienced professionals led by Jay Cahill (Chairman/CEO), Charles J. Lochtefeld (Vice Chairman) and Charles L. Palley (President). They have varied and extensive construction expertise.

Employees

It is the individual Cahill employees who provide the excellence in field work and management of construction projects. These employees, from the worker with his tools, to the senior project manager, have a sense of loyalty to Cahill Contractors, Inc. organization and its goal of thorough professionalism. Their individual initiative and responsibility is the key to a commitment to our community to provide excellence in buildings for the future.

Financial Stability

Cahill Contractors, Inc. has an exceptionally healthy financial condition. Its strong cash reserves enable the company to bid or bond almost any size project. Feel free to contact us if you have any detailed questions regarding our financial viability.

Project Control

Cahill, with a combination of negotiated and competitively bid projects, is constantly in touch with changing construction costs and technological developments

Schedule and budget control are then facilitated by Cahill’s in-house computerized systems. Schedules are prepared and updated on a regular basis by Project Managers.

Weekly labor reports and monthly material/subcontractor cost reports allow analysis of scheduled versus actual cost on a current basis.

Cahill performs concrete work, formwork, structural excavation, structural backfill, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and cement finishing with its own crews. This policy allows for ease of integration of these various trades and speeds overall job progress.

Project Selection

Cahill focuses on a limited number of projects so we can be sure that field and office resources are properly devoted to each project. By managing our volume of work, we are able to maintain a steady pool of long term employees, our greatest asset, both in the field and in the office. Most of our superintendents have ascended the ranks working at Cahill.

A limited number of projects combined with meaningful involvement of senior executives results in well-managed, successful projects.

Subcontractor Relationships

Cahill has an extensive database with subcontractors that we have worked with for several years. Our subcontractors are key members of our project team and their performance is critical to the success of our projects.

Safety

Safety and productivity go hand in hand. Without safety we could not produce the quality product expected by our clients. Cahill has developed a written Safety Program modeled on the requirements of the California OSHA Injury and Illness Prevention Program.

The basics of an effective Safety Program are constant. The construction industry and the challenges we face are always changing. We make sure that our IIPP is always reflecting the most current and effective means of protecting our workers.
